Springter (spring/winter) is always a strange time in the beehive state. We never know if we want to be warm or cold. Yesterday it started to snow around 5:00PM and it wasn’t a light snow, oh no…of course not. The flakes were extremely large and it was coming down like it was late for a date or something. I told Husband I would come get him from work so he didn’t have to wait outside for the bus. It had been 50 degrees that morning so he wasn’t quite prepared for the blizzard of 2011. What is usually about a 25 minute round trip ended up being 45 minutes. We came home, ate dinner, watched an episode of Friends had started on our homework when around 9:15PM the power goes out. We have one flashlight thanks to me and summers of girl’s camp as well as one citronella candle. As much as mosquitos were a very high concern in this frozen tundra we found ourselves in, we decided it was a good time to head to the store and get some real supplies. No time like the present. So we got the essentials, candles, milk and Husband grabbed the most essential item of all…Fruity Pebbles. We are set. Don’t worry, the power came on at 7:00AM this morning, we woke up to exactly 12 inches of snow, we both made it to our classes and there was no need to shovel because it is now 45 degrees outside. Thank you, Utah.
