Husband helping Little Cousin with his Sunday shirt. He first had to chase him around, of course, but with a little persuasion which included a Lindor chocolate (referred to as a “meatball” ), Husband was able to get the little guy to submit. Our kids are going to be chubby.
Picture two & three:
Did I mention we teach the Sunbeams on Sunday? We do. They are the 3 year old group and we love them. We start out every class by asking them, “Who loves you?” with the hopeful response of “Heavenly Father”, but that is not usually what we get. We usually hear, “Mommy & Daddy” first accompanied by a lot of blank stares and then we say…”and does Heavenly Father love you?” If it’s a good day they nod and say “yeeees”, if it’s a bad one they shake their heads and say “no”. It’s only been 2.5 months since we started asking them this question weekly so I’m sure they’ll get it by the end of the year…cross your fingers. My favorite response occurred last week, when the Governor of the great Beehive State’s grandson replied, “Ruby. Ruby loves me. She’s my girlfriend”. This was not the first time we’ve heard of Ruby, and if this love endures preschool I’d say this girl has made in the shade.
