So far summer has been pretty easy peasy. Husband had been taking classes during both summer semesters which has been a bummer, but luckily we have the kewlist backyard ever to keep us happy every evening. I was able to get a graphic design internship for my church which I start tomorrow…YIKES! I feel a little rusty….summer always does that to me, but I can’t hardly wait (even if it does mean I have to dress like a missionary).
We have had a few flood warnings this past spring which has been a little frightening. This is a photo of the bridge in our backyard. The water is usually a good 6 inches below it, but now it is touching the bottom! At least the fish have enjoyed the additional space….
Little Brother is a pitcher, not a belly-itcher. He has been a pitching machine this summer ever since he made it onto an all-star team. I must say he gets his skillz from his big sister….ha!
In-N-Out finally made it to Utah, thank goodness! This is Cousin’s first job and I don’t know if anyone could pull off that outfit quite as cute as her!
Aerial fireworks are now legal in Utah and it made this year’s 4th of July slightly more exciting than last. We didn’t even have to leave our house to get a great show. That didn’t, however, stop Husband from paying a visit to a little town called Evanston, Wyoming…. I have a feeling the 24th of July (Utah’s founder’s day) is going to be a little more eventful at the Blaser home.
Have you seen the UP house? Well, it’s in Herriman, Utah. I can’t believe Disney didn’t already have this in one of their parks! I heard one of the builders answering questions, and he said that they just watched the movie and came up with the blueprints. Even the chimney’s bricks are laid down in the same pattern as the house from the movie! The builders got permission from Disney to call it the “Up house”, and Disney bought the rights to the blueprints from them. The builder is not sure what Disney is going to do with the blueprints, but hopefully they will build houses? I definitely want it, but not in Herriman…..maybe Paradise Falls?
